Shipping Policy

At Daakor, we carefully and thoughtfully select the brands we source from for your design concepts. Please note that we do not have a retail location nor do we stock any of the items presented in your design. 

All of the merchandise presented in your style board will be shipped directly from our supplier right to your door. This approach ensures that  saves time, money and the environment by eliminating the need for items to be shipped to us first then to have it shipped from us to you. 

At this time, we offer shipping directly to your door on most areas within Canada, depending on the supplier and your location. Your order will be shipped through Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, DHL or other 3rd party carriers. 

Any large items will be delivered by a local delivery carrier in your area. If your order includes multiple products, you will likely receive separate shipments based on the vendor. 

Fees

For orders over $10,000 ordered through our website, we will provide free local delivery within the following metropolitan areas: Greater Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver.  

Freight and import duties for items that are imported will be covered by the client on every order. We have made every attempt to reflect these costs in the price where we can. We will let you know what this cost is as soon as we can after you place your order. 

Please note that the free delivery offer does not apply to buildings without elevators or any other complex deliveries. Contact us for more information or a shipping estimate for a complex delivery. 

Since we do not stock furniture and we work with a number of different vendors to give you the best options for your room design, we don’t have a good way to automatically add shipping costs to your order. We don’t want to charge for shipping by item because that means you’ll overpay. Once you place your order, we will contact you with your shipping charges and arrange for payment.

Timeframe

Although most of the items we source are available for shipment between 2-6 weeks, we advise our clients to plan for 4-10 weeks for delivery. 

We will contact you within 48 hours with the delivery timeline, once we receive the order. We will continue to stay in touch with you until all of the items in your order have been delivered to you. 

Please note that orders with more than one item may have different delivery dates. 

Taking Delivery of an Item

Please plan to have someone available to meet the delivery team to take the delivery of the item(s). The delivery service will wait for 15 minutes at most before they will leave and you may be required to pay an additional delivery charge for the item(s) to have it delivered to your home again.

Please note that standard delivery is to your doorstep only. If you live in a building that means to your lobby or to the moving or receiving area. That also means the delivery team will not enter your home or assemble the furniture. 

Please plan to bring the item to its desired location and that it fits through all of the elevators, hallways, stairs, and doorways, etc. leading to its desired location. 

We ask that you inspect the packaging and items immediately upon receiving the item and make note of any visible damage. Photos are very helpful in this regard. You may choose to refuse delivery of the item(s). 

Please note that freight carriers will deny any damage claims if it is not noted on the delivery waybill at the time of the delivery, before the carrier leaves your home. Be sure to note any damages on the paperwork presented by the carrier. 

White Glove Delivery

White glove delivery service includes delivery of all of your items in one trip, taking the items to the desired location in the home, unpacking, minor assembly and garbage removal by the delivery team. We offer white glove delivery service in the GTA for orders over $5000 for an additional fee.

Rural Locations and Complex Deliveries

This section applies to rural locations such as a lakeside cottage, a lovely rural country location, a building without an elevator or any other complex delivery. We are happy to arrange for delivery to your location. Please contact us for more information or for a shipping estimate for your delivery. 

Please note we do not deliver to PO Box addresses.

Delays

Every now and then our clients may experience delays in shipment or delivery due to holidays, busy seasons, weather and various other reasons. These delays are out of our control and can push delivery windows beyond what we gave you at the time you ordered. 

We will always be in touch with you on any delays and will notify you at the earliest possibility. We ask for your patience during these times as we will do our very best to get the items to you as soon as we can. 

If you opted for white glove service, we will be in touch with you on any delays and if the delivery date needs to be rescheduled.

Back Orders

If the items you ordered are out of stock, we will contact you with an estimated date on when it will be back in stock. If that date doesn’t work for you, we will reimburse you 100% for the item.

Damages

We ask that you inspect the packaging and items immediately upon receiving the item and make note of any visible damage. Photos are very helpful in this regard. You may choose to refuse delivery of the item(s).

Returns

Please note that you will be required to pay for return shipping costs for items that are not damaged or incorrectly shipped. Please see our return policy for more information.
